WordCamp Birmingham

I had the wonderful opportunity to volunteer design services for WordCamp Birmingham. There were several meetups involved, and a great many talented people dedicated their free-time to help foster growth of the web development community in Birmingham, Alabama. My contributions encompassed all things graphic design related: stickers, lanyards, logos, the website, t-shirts, posters and email templates—nearly every visual element designed across the various touch points at the conference. A much praised favorite amongst attendees at the conference was the statue of Vulcan calligram featured on the posters and t-shirts. The design boasts 200+ words arranged into the iconic bust of Vulcan, a longstanding iconic staple of Birmingham’s skyline.
